Privacy at Keepsake

Keepsake preserves personal stories, so we treat the contents of your conversations with care. This page explains the website and purchase information used to operate the service.

Your stories

Recordings, transcripts, prompts, generated chapters, memoir text, and audio are never sent to Stripe, Meta, Google Analytics, or Vercel Web Analytics.

Payments

Payments are completed on Stripe-hosted Checkout. Stripe receives the information required to process the payment, including your email address, selected package, amount, currency, and payment details. Keepsake records Stripe identifiers and the purchased conversation allowance so access can be fulfilled safely.

Meta advertising attribution

The Keepsake website uses the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API. When available, Keepsake sends page and checkout activity, purchase amount and currency, the selected product, browser and click identifiers such as _fbp, _fbc, andfbclid, IP address, and browser user agent. Campaign parameters may be retained with the purchase for attribution. Email and the internal user identifier are normalized and cryptographically hashed before they are sent to Meta. This tracking is enabled when the website’s Meta integration is configured.

Website analytics

The Keepsake website uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand website traffic and how visitors move through the experience. Google Analytics may receive page views, referring pages, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device details, session identifiers, and interaction events. Keepsake does not send recordings, transcripts, generated chapters, memoir text, or audio to Google Analytics. This tracking is enabled when the website’s Firebase Analytics integration is configured.

Keepsake also uses Vercel Web Analytics for anonymous, aggregate page-view reporting. It may receive the visited path, referring page, coarse location, browser, operating system, and device type. Vercel Web Analytics does not use third-party cookies or retain identifiers that follow visitors across websites, and Keepsake does not send personal story content or personal identifiers through it.
